Hay Fello J.T'ers

For today only i will be transmitting via the web, cctv from the garden using nothing but solar power, its live now and i am looking for questions and reports.

the solar powered camera can be viewed at
http://www.mayoprintlab.com/ei1429.htm
or
http://www.justin.tv/ei1429

The audio is from my reciever which is tuned to the Coast Guard freq. so don't expect too much noise

I will make as much movement on the camera as possible so to give everyone a good enough view.
The only part of this experament that is not free energy is the pc which i am sitting at now.
Regards All
Bren

The Idea

The bases of the idea was to run my home on home made solar power or renewable energy, tho years away i got stuck in now.
Out side is a solar panel from Maplins in Galway, two cameras 12v, and a transmitter bought on e-bay for a couple of euro. the battery is from an old car.

its just a test realy, while at the same time a bit of fun!
I will move it around again there now

Great idea

This is a really excellent idea, and demonstrates a practical useage of alternative energy.

I have the mini wind turbine(home made) to charge the batteries, now if you could provide me with more information aboutthe cameras and the website that carried the live feed.

Regards,

Fries.

Rite then, This is nothing compared to what other people have on there house or garden, but here it goes.

The Solar panel is a trickle charger, it will run any of the cameras 12v when the sun is out but it will not run the transmitter.

the Cameras were bought on e-bay for a few euro, Very cheep in china!

the transmitter was bought the same (China) way and is also 12v. you get a reciever with it too.

The poor battery was removed from a transit van i found lieing on its side.

And last of all the sun light, now this is the hardest thing i found to come by, I have had awful trouble trying to get the sun to shine in Ireland, if anyone has any ideas for this let me know ea?

Another Good day

Right due to a few e-mails the solar-camera is back on. i cant tell when it is going to go off, so if you bookmark the web page on Justin.tv.

There is no real point to this task, but it just shows what you can do with solar power! Save the world in-all-that stuff. Just a bit of fun.

Here is the link. http://www.justin.tv/ei1429 or http://www.mayoprintlab.com/ei1429.htm
