sorry you made such a long trip for nothing, this happened to me too although i didn't travel too far, i had to take the item to the recycling centre, i guess its a chance you have to take...

maybe your local shop will have an empty lollipop jar, they have lids, easier to put something into than a mineral bottle

they look great, did you cut a few holes in the bag for drainage? if it gets waterlogged the roots will rot, a few crushed egg shells will keep the slugs off, wont look as pretty but you wont see...

good point, i picked up a dishwasher only to find it doesnt work, have to take it to recycling, thats the luck of the draw, but wouldnt be much fun for stall holders to have to dispose of items
