Old Chair
i originally intended to strip back this old chair and wax it, but i found it was made from a few diffrent types of wood so i painted it a nice blue, quite happy how it turned out, table to match is coming next..........!

old chair
love the chair. Got 2 chairs recently from a jumbletowner and wanted to paint them too....Just wondering , did you sand the original down or did you use nitromors to take the old varnish off first.? Also, what type of paint did you use? I was going to use buttermilk colour in satin wood but not sure if that would be suitable !! Would love to hear what you used on yours. Many thanks..

hi miss lilac i sanded off some of the rough paint, but i didnt strip the hard parts :) the chair i have is antique so i didnt chance the nitromors but normally i would. then i used satinwood paint, i found the crown one coat satinwood brilliant. have used a cream satinwood too on another project and it covers great. hope that helps!! dont forget to post it on here afterwards! |
