big difficulty with walls
i had explained that when i removed old wallpaper from my new home the walls were awful and now in dilemma.
i dont feel i can afford to lay plaster and nor do i feel that lining paper will do the job of cover up. i looked at a whole array of textured white paper for painting and feel all too much when i am going to hang artwork over this. i dont quite know now what to do! i wanted wonderful smooth loverly walls! any suggestions! |

Walls
Would cladding the walls with some insulating board not serve a dual purpose of insulation and smoothing the walls off.

use some filler over the dings and sand down. I have to do it all the time as when they built this house they didn't nail the nails into the plaster board far enough and now every time I hammer a nail etc into the wall bits pop out as there isn't enough plaster over the nails.
