1st Time Tiler Gone Mad (Updated)
Hi,
I've gone completely mad since I did my first splash back..........I've ripped out all the tiles on the walls of my main bathroom!!!! I hated them as they were blue mosaic and that just reminded me of a public swimming pool. I got enough tiles to do it for €20. on adverts.ie. It's still a work in progress so I'll update later. I got some good advise from some friends and my brother in law, and he also loaned me a tile cutter :) Before is the blue tiles after is the white ones |

Thanks a mil :), just spent most of today scrubbing off excess grout, my hands hurt lol but only a little bit more tiling to go. I've redone the whole bathroom, can't wait till it's finished :)

Well done Melissabell you've done a great job, I did a splashback in the kitchen behind the cooker and its a great sense of achievement to look at. You've saved yourself a fortune too!

Right I've finished the tiling!!! I'm going to buy a couple of tile decals to break up the white. I've repainted the whole room which was totally white and very grubby. The door was painted in a fake wood effect. My bathroom accessories were silver and I've spray painted them to match.
Next on the agenda is getting the tile decals, new shower door, re-tiling the floor which I'm going to attempt and making a new bath panel/ under sink cabinet and mirror out of an old hall stand my mum has rotting away in the shed............. |

Well done and a great job.
Looking at your wall accessories made me feel annoyed about some items that I had given away previously. Lack of vision on my part, GGGRRRRRR Will you tile around or under the toilet? Under looks best but I have always gone around. |
