dyeing jeans??
I want to dye a pair of Levis jeans that are very light denim colour to a darker denim colour. I've dyed curtains and other things before and had great success, but I am wondering is there any way of stopping the dye from taking on the Levis label on the waist band and on the little red label on the pocket. Any ideas Jumbletowners??

Stopping the Dye
You'll have to melt some wax and coat the orange tag with it, same for the tag on the waistband.

What about rubbing a bit of Vaseline into the labels?

Jeans
I dont think you should do anything different. I have dyed Karen Millen faded jeans and a KM white denim jacket I find that while the denim changes colour the tags dont. They are obviously of a different material that doesnt absorb the dye. I am fairly sure your jeans would be the same. It is a great idea as it gives new life to old clothes.
