Location
I've said it before and I'll say it again . WHY is the LOCATION of the advertiser not REQUIRED, to be in ones initial advert .
It would save SO much gong in and out of adverts, searching for location , and don't tell me to search by county . If I am prepared to travel for an item , I may have distance limits . I have recently travelled to Dublin . . and here also the site is sometimes taken for granted by some Dubs, as theirs. Today I have looked at two adverts and NO location mentioned . I see here that ideas for improvement to the site are welcomed, but I've said all this before and it has seemingly fallen on deaf ears , or maybe it wasn't heard at all in the first place , ha ha . Happy new Year to all . Now, isn't that a good IDEA ?? |

hi noddytown, im surprised you don't have your location in your profile, tut tut!!
it would show up under your name just like mine and save on searching. |

noddy i agree with u there, all it takes is one word in the profile not very much work yet would save a lot of time in the process of giving and taking and it does not invade privacy issues if u state ur county

Yes, it would make things a lot easier when applying for items, if you have some idea of where the person is. As you say, people do have their limits on how far they are willing to travel for particular items, and postage would only apply to certain things. Then again, i understand if people want to keep their location to themselves, until they have to give their details to potential takers.

Reading the above I realise my location is not mentioned - how do you add it in/on so that it will appear with I reply on a thread?

To edit your User Profile, click on the "User CP" button (User Control Panel button) on the dark blue bar at the top of this page you're on now. Then choose "Edit Profile" from the dropdown box on the left. The "Location" box is in the section called "A few words about yourself." Regards Chris P Admin |
