I've been following design sponge for ages, another of my favourite sites is
http://www.younghouselove.com/. It's a blog run by a young couple as the revamp their house. It's been going for a few years now, and as they have finished the house, they have just sold it and are going to start all over again with a new house. Apart from great pictures and tutorials, they are not afraid to post their makeover fails as well as sucesses! (which makes me feel a whole lot better about my fails, I once tried to cover a lampshade with wallpaper..........enough said!!) |

I love Design sponge too! And I'm definitely gonna check out younghouselove! I have discovered another website recently: http://www.the-brick-house.com/
It's by a young American woman renovating a midcentury house, furnishing it with great pieces, with the rule-of-thumb of not spending more than 100 dollars on any one piece of furniture. She is like the creative equivalent of Einstein. One of her before-afters is a bench made from salvaged pieces from their old rotting fence. It's fabulous, and it might have been featured on Design sponge too, as it was so a.m.a.z.i.n.g. Only problem is I spend more time drooling over others' amazing furniture makeovers than doing any of my own... |

Great!!! More sites for me to drool over. And Merienne, I totally agree.....I spend a lot more time being "inspired" than actually putting any of the inspiration into practice!
