Straw Build with regular finish?
Hi,
Further to these three excellent videos - I was wondering what anyone knows about rendering the outdoor walls of a straw-build? The planning permission for our shed stipulates that it must have the same finish as the existing house. Is the stuff 'hereclit' mentioned in one of these videos the solution to this? Any ideas gratefully accepted. Thanks |

Has anyone on here built, or know of someone who has built a strawbale house in Ireland? I know there are a fair few of them in the country but I'd like to get in contact with an owner if possible.
My sister and I are in the very early stages of planning a straw build and I'd like all the advice I can get on the topic! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Emily |

Straw Bale
I'd be interested in hearing from those of you that have straw built homes.
I have the site. I have Planning permission for a blocks and mortar house, but after doing a bit of reading on the good ould 'ternet, I think I'd love to build from straw as it would be much more off a hands on build. Regards, Fries. |

I found these videos fab. My husband always wanted a wooden house, unfortunately we have a small terraced brick house. I'd love one of these wooden houses with straw walls, breathable walls sound so healthy. I can dream..... Athy55
