From Admin: No posts in the Support Forum re: the sending of items through the Post
Hi Everyone,
We request that Members refrain from making any posts in the Support Forum re: the sending of items through the post, the late or non-arrival of SAEs or indeed items, or the failure of a Member to send the right amount of money to cover P+P. Since JumbleTown was established, Admin's advice has been that Members should not send any item through the post. We obviously recognise the efforts and goodwill of Givers who do so, but Admin believes that the only thing a Member should post is a JumbleTown poster in their local shop, community-hall, or in their workplace. A4 sized posters can be downloaded...here: http://www.jumbletown.ie/posters.htm Increasing the number of JumbleTowners in one's local area does away with the need to send an item through the post. As our slogan says: "Someone, Somewhere Wants It!" With the right publicity, that "Someone" will be just around the corner, in the neighbouring street, estate, village or townland. If a Giver decides to post to a Taker, that is a transaction between the Members involved -- JumbleTown will not host Support Forum queries relating to this transaction, and Admin will not send PMs to Members reminding them to send an SAE etc. In the event of non-payment or not enough payment of P+P, or the non-arrival of an item, unfortunately, Admin can do nothing to help the Members in question as we can only control what happens on the site itself. Thanks for your co-operation in this matter. Regards Chris P Admin |
