Dressing-table
This is the dressing table I got for my niece - a nineteen year old girl who appreciates the quality of old furniture and is COOL enough to be retro!
many thanks to Ellie who loved this piece for many years and was reluctant to put it into a skip even though she was told "No one would want that! Put it into the skip!" But Ellie said "No" and put it up on Jumbletown and now it is much loved by Jessie. It does not look much different in the before (bottom right) and after pictures (Pics 1-3) but it is much loved again and is enjoying a new lease of life! ....and that's gotta be good...right? |

Lovely piece of furniture unapam. It would have been a shame to see that going into a skip. Nice to see that someone will get many more years of use from it. Hope your niece enjoys it for many years to come.

Great to see it in use Unapam. It spent a couple of years gathering dust here so it is lovely to see it looking so well and being used again. Delighted to hear that your niece likes it. Thanks for the update.

The people who said to put this in a skip deserve a good smacking.
It's lovely, and with care it can last for generations- maybe not in the same family, but what matters is that it is loved and put to good use. So hats off to anyone who takes the time to give things away rather than to bin them, even though it is sometimes faster and easier. /Merienne |

dressing table
You're kidding - someone would throw this out? It's probably Edwardian, and probably worth a couple of hundred euro - some very similar for sale on ebay.co.uk for £200-£300. Good find!
