Old Rusted high office chair turned RETRO!!!!
Hi,
I got this chair off Eibhlin Ni Sheambrai ages ago and finally got around to upcycling it. It's perfect for my high desk in my work room. I scrubbed it down and took the seat off and sprayed it bright orange as I'm really into retro. I ground down the metal to take off all the rust and loose paint and then gave it 2 coats of matt black metal paint. I'm so happy with it :) Thanks a mil Eibhlin!!!!! |

Well done! If I'd seen it earlier, I would have passed it by .... very quickly. Good to see that you had the imagination to make the transformation!

retro chair
Hi Melissa, Didn't remember this at all till I saw photos! That was at least a year ago. It belonged to my neighbour. She will be amazed to see the transformation. What type of paint did you use? I can see it was spray painted-the orange bit- but wondering did you have to do anything special to make it cover plastic? Well done, Eibhlin.

Nope it's by Rust-oleum, Painter's Touch Multi- Purpose Paint, says it's for wood, metal and ceramics but it took to it perfectly :) |
