Hi from a new member and a question
Hello JumbleTown
I'm in Clare and keen on re-use of stuff, charity shops and generally cutting back on waste. My question is this: can a member request information? For instance, I was looking recently for a specialised item (which I knew I'd have to buy) but had no idea where to find it. So could I have posted a 'wanted: information' advert? It's not strictly recycling I know but there's nothing in the forum guidelines about it. Otherwise, look forward to using JumbleTown in its more orthodox manner! David |

The Wanted Ad Guidelines at the top of the Wanted Forum state that only items should be requested, and that advice-only ads should not be posted: >>> Extract from Wanted Ad Guidelines: Fundamentals: As in the Givers' forums, all items sought or offered must be free. Selling, buying, swapping, auctioning, borrowing and lending are all prohibited. Only items may be requested. Ads requesting services, reviews, votes, prayers, accommodation, money, work, or only advice will be removed. <<< If the item you're looking for is "green" related, you can make a post in the Green Tips forum near the top of the Home Page. If you're looking for an item that is not "green," then I suggest you try Boards.ie or a consumer-related website. Finally, welcome to JumbleTown! Regards Chris P Admin |

Ah, thanks - I didn't see those guidelines, only the JumbleTown User Guide at the top.
Thanks very much for your help. |
