Green cone accelerator powder
Anyone know where I can get the accelerator powder Cheap for the green cone? The difference in price between the Irish supplier and the uk is nearly 5 times dearer. Can't seem to find anywhere online that's cheaper. Tx.

Compost accelerator
Hi, I don't know much about green cones, but if they are like regular composters, there is an accelerator that comes very cheap- urine!!
If you are not squeamish and can get some pee in an old plastic bottle and add this once a week you might be sorted! |

Thanks Reebok, but I have ordered the powder from the UK. 12 sachets delivered for £31 GBP as opposed to €30 for 4 sachets delivered from Dublin. Crazy!

It was through the main website: www.greencone.co.uk I think. Just google green cone UK and you'll find it. You needto ring thrmto place the order but they stock the entire range of greencone products.
Can I ask you how long you have your cone and how you're finding it? Ours is quite full since we've had such a cold winter/spring. We only got it march 2009 so this is our first winter. I'm hoping lots of powder will help spur it on. Where have you been buying your powder? |

I have my greencone since spring 2009. Found it very effective last summer, did a superb job but as you say it still seems to be recovering after the very harsh winter. Fairly full. As the summer goes on hopefully it gets better. We stopped adding to it for about two months during the winter as we thought it might need a bit of a break. We get the accelerator in the local garden center but they always seem to be out of it so buying in bulk seems to be the best and cheaper option. Thanks for the info Hogan

Green Cone Accelerator Powder
The manufacturer is Great Green Systems in the UK. There's now a link on their home page which links to their Irish stockist - the accelerator powder is now available in Ireland at much lower rates.
