How to whitewash a coffee table?
can anyone please tell me how to whitewash a coffee table that looks like an antique want the grain to show through almost looks like its been painted and then wiped off

Don't know how to whitewash it but if you use the Annie Slaon paint you can make it "distressed " looking. There are loads of videos on YouTube on how to use her paint, it is quite expensive but same technique may be used with other paints I guess

How to whitewash a coffee table
Another to whitewash a table is after you have sanded, rub vaseline on the areas of the table that you want to have a distressed look and then paint your table and when the paint is dried, go over it with a damp cloth and rub well, you will notice that the paint won't have adhered to the vaseline areas and you will have a distressed look without too much trouble.

I forgot to say you don,t need expensive paints to do this, ordinary emulsion or water based paints do the job just as well.
