Posters' Etiquette: (No flaming, and use of Hi / Please / Thanks / Regards etc.)
Hi Everyone,
JumbleTown Admin would prefer if all disputes/problems between JumbleTowners were referred directly to us and NOT posted on the Public Forum. Settling disputes in private is far better than posting (flaming!) in public. Furthermore, if you have a problem with, or are unsure about any of JumbleTown's policies, you should contact Admin. Note: Members who "flame" or deliberately flout JumbleTown's rules/policies should not be surprised if they receive a ban. Also, just a reminder that it would be nice if all posts (especially in the Giving/Taking and Wanted forums) contained words like "Hi", "Please", "Thanks", "Regards" or variations thereof. In recent times, some JumbleTowners have expressed their dismay at the curt and (unintentionally?) impolite responses from some of their fellow Members. So, bear in mind that it can be hard to put across a friendly tone using a written register, especially as the puritanical developers of the site stripped out the code for emoticons (smilies etc). That's why a few "Howyas?" and "Thanks a mill" are necessary. If you find such salutations decidedly "old hat", and opt instead to use a more "direct" style, then don't be surprised if some Members "forget" to reply to your correspondence and/or overlook you in the Giving and Taking process. Remember, Givers are free to give an item to whomever they want, be it the first, second, or tenth respondent. Thanks for your co-operation.
